リベンジ １ Revenge

この前の食パンは生焼けだったから今回こそは、ともう一度焼きました。レーズンパンも一緒に。

今回は、焼き方を工夫。初めに高温でガツッと表面を焼き、電源を切って、余熱で中まで火を通すというやり方に。
うん、ちゃ〜んと今回は側面、裏面までこんがりきつね色〜♪でも少し今回はトップがこげぎみですね〜。。。
問題の中は、というと、今回は大成功！！！！ちゃ〜んとふっくら焼けててとってもおいしかったです＾＾

次はトップがもうちょっと焦げないように。が課題やな！！！

ぶどうパンは喜音リクエストでうさぎ、蛙が隠れてます。さ〜てどこでしょう？？？（蛙はみえんな。）


ちなみに喜音の服、これは普段着じゃないですよ。友達から貸してもらった、ハロウィンの衣装です。31日はこれでいくので乞う御期待！　いくらなんでもこんなハデハデヒョウ柄の服は着せません＾＾：


I tried to bake a white bread again. This time, I tried the another way to bake it, that at first, I baked it at high temperature, and then I cut the heat, and left it in the oven for a while.

See! This time, it looks better than before. the sides and the bottom tuned golden :) but, the top were a little bit burnt :( How about the most important point, inside of it?
Yeah! I did it !!

Next time, I won't get burned it!!

By the way, the clothes Yukine wore in the above pic, is the costume one of my friend borrow her for Halloween :) It's sooo cute, and Yukine loves it, and she wears it everyday :) She will wear it in 31th pre-school's bash, so Please be looking forward to the pics!!

始めました。

この週末から、私働き始めました。なんて言ってもお金欲しさに。笑
家の近所の店で働こうと思ったら、たまたま行ったスーパーの寿司屋で募集が！しかも日本人経営やし、話はとんとん拍子で進みさっそく働くことに。4年ぶりの立ち仕事、初日は足が、なぜか脇腹が疲れた。どんだけしんどくて、育児と両立できるか心配だったけど、意外に大丈夫だし、料理が好きなせいか寿司作るのもなかなか楽しい♪なんつってもまかないで寿司、日本食が（えせでない）食べられるのが、涙が出そうなくらい嬉しかった！　笑　自分らで日本食、とくに寿司なんて高くてそんな贅沢できないし。店長さんもめっちゃいい人やし、ほんまに今は思い切って申し込んでよかった〜♪と思うことばかり。とりあえず、いつまでこの幸せが続くかはわからんが、頑張りますわ〜！！


上は、私が失敗した寿司。持って帰らせてくれたので、喜音、ぶり豚にもおすそ分け＾＾喜音はめっちゃ喜んでてママが仕事に行ったらいつも寿司が付いてくると錯覚しているご様子。＾＾：

あ、ちなみに寿司の上のクッキーの破片は、私がいない間にぶり豚と喜音が一緒に頑張って作ったピーナッツバタークッキー。大変だったご様子で、めっちゃ簡単なのに2時間かかったらしいですわ＾＾：　二人の子供を見ながらいろいろする主婦の大変さを実感してくれたかしら？？へへ。

I started working at the Sushi dept in the grocery market from last weekend! I worried that whether I can do work and look after kids together, but I think both would be fine. I work only on weekends. On the first time, I made sushi rolls all day long, and the second day, I made some sushi rolls and then I had made Tamagoyaki which is Japanese style fried egg for 2 hours! I love cooking, so I enjoy this job for now, and my boss is sooo nice person. Maybe I would be tired out with making sushi rolls :p , but kinda fun job for me, and in addition, I can eat Japanese foods for free for lunch while I work!!!! That's really really happy to me :D We can't expect everytime tho, sometime my boss give me sushi or something, so My family also can eat them :) Yesterday, she gave us one lb of salmon :) I'm satisfied this job really for now! It's too bad not to be with my family on weekends tho.

the sushi in above pictuer were the stuffs I took mistake, and I could bring back to my home. Yukine was soooo happy to eat sushi (Of course, Brit too!), especially she prefer cucumber rolls than tuna rolls that time. How economical girl is she :o
And, a piece of cookie above the sushi tray were made by Brit and Yukine while I was gone on sunday :) According him, It took for all done for 2 hours!!!! Brit must have had a hard day with two kids, huh ? :p

Halloween!!!!!

ハロウィンパーティがうちの教会、喜音の行っている幼稚園のあるコミュニティーセンターとでありました。私と子供たちにとっては人生初めての本場ハロウィン！
ハロウィンって日本のお盆なようなもので、あの世から霊が帰ってくる日。でも日本のように挨拶しにくるわけではなくて、霊たちがいたづらをしにくると言われているわけ。だから仮装して、誰がだれかわからなくしていたづらされないように。。というのが由来らしい。（ぶり豚解説）

で、喜音は着物　笑　全然関係ないけど、着る機会なかなかないし、アメリカ人には大ウケ＾＾　奏大はライオン。これはリサイクルショップでセールの日で９５¢（９５円くらい）やったし♪


Our church had the big Halloween party and the community center that has Yukine's preschool held The pumpkin bash too!! So, we went to both party with our friend's family last night :)
It was the my first Halloween in America, so I was really excited!!
Yukine wore the Kimono and Kanata wore the lion costume :) Yukine supposed to wear a prencess dress or something like that, butI thought that this was a good time to use Kimono, and she likes to wear it. American people loved Yukine's kimono :)
Brittain and I didn't wore anything special, so we think that we will do something next time.



こんな感じで大人も子供も張り切ってこれでもかと仮装。やっぱり女の子たちはプリンセス、フェアリーが多かったな〜。男の子はスパイダーマンやら、ピエロやら、いろいろ。
大人でも本気で頑張っちゃうあたりがアメリカンだよね！！

そして、メインイベント「Trick or Treat」

ぶり豚が小さいときは、枕ケースを持って（！！！その枕ケースがお菓子でいっぱいになるんだって！！！恐ろしい。。。）近所を廻ったらしい。
ここシアトルの教会では、車のトランクにみんなが仕掛けを用意しててデコレーションとかしてて、駐車場を子供たちが「Trick or Treat」って言いながら廻っていく。

And the main evern in that night, "Trick or Treat"!

こんな感じですごく凝っててこれまた感動！！ちゃんと怖いホラーのBGMとかも流したり、この写真はフラッシュ焚いたからちょっと雰囲気が出ないけど、ジャック・オー・ランタンとかキャンドルの光ですごくいい感じだった。


いやいや〜めっちゃ（私が）楽しみました♪♪

もちろん、喜音も大興奮！！お菓子はい〜〜〜っぱいもらったし、着物も着れたしで家に帰っても興奮ぎみ＾＾：

あ、お菓子は寝ている間にさっさと戸棚にかくさせていただきましたがね。一年分ありそう。。。。おそろし。。。。

これから31日まであちこちでハロウィンイベントがあります。喜音の幼稚園でもまたパーティがあるみたいだし、にぎやかな一週間になりそう＾＾

Everyone had awesome decorating in thier trunk!!!They were soooo cool!!! Some people used horror BGM, some people had Jack-o’-lantern and so on! How creative they were! I took the pics with flash, so these don't have a flavor like last night tho.

We really really enjoyed everything last night!!
And of course,Yukine got lots lots lots of snacks!!! Maybe, they are enough to eat for a year for her :o So, I hided them while she were sleeping last night :p

食パンを焼きました。 White bread

アメリカの安い食パンは日本のようにどうも味が濃くない。（私たちが一番安いのしか買えないというのが問題なんだけど。）
だから食パンを焼きました。今回は初めてフードプロセッサーを使って。

なかなか見た目はいい感じ。でも中が生焼けっぽかった。食パンはこれが難しいんだよね〜。また挑戦してみよう。

The white bread we can buy is not so good taste coz it's cheapest, so I tried to make a white bread this time. It looks good huh? but it's still doughy :( Everytime I bake a white bread, it's doughy, so I avoided making it then. hummm... I will try again soon.

やっぱりバーバーの遺伝か。The bad napper Kanata

かわいいかわいい奏大くん。ですけどね、　

もうちょっと寝てください。

奏大くん、最近特に寝ません。

生まれたころはいい感じに寝る子だったはずですが、2人目だし、頑張って音に鈍感に育てているつもりですが、添い寝になるべくせんと一人で寝てくれる計画でいってたのですが。
ひどいですね〜　夜中３０分置きに起きてくれます。昼寝は最低15分、最高45分。そして一日抱っこしないと不機嫌。。。

歯が生えてきている奏大くん、そのせいなのかしら？それだったらかわいそうだと思いつつもさすがに夜も昼も寝てくれないと、私、しんどいっす。眠いのになぜ寝ない？なぜ頑張る？？

やっぱりバーバー家の遺伝強すぎます、うちの子たち。（涙）
バーバー家は基本的に全員眠りと仲良くない。私はめっちゃどこでもいつでも寝れる子だったのに。

そして、昨日は寝不足で私もかなりの不機嫌。ぶり豚に当たって発散させていただきました。笑　ありがとう、そしてごめんなさい。m（_　_）m

Kanata is sach a bad napper!!! 　He is starting to get his teeth, so he can't sleep well?? It could be. He awoke once every 30mins in the night 2days ago. And, he had napped just for 15mins in the morning yesterday!! He supposed to be sleepy!!!! He was sooo grumpy all day long if I put him down even just a minunte :( So, I took kids to the park, and I held him, but he didn't fall asleep yet, humm... so and then, we went to grocery shopping, finally he fell asleep.
I was really tired yesterday, so I was also really grumpy :p Brit must have been scared of me. hehe. Sorry about that!

I think Kanata also gets Barber gene more than Kirino's :p Yukine is getting better than before tho.

By the way, I send these kanata's pics to BABY GAP's cast calling. if they chose him, we would get the trip prize or something like that!!! Who knows :D

秋です。(Autumn color of leaves)

シアトルはだいぶ秋っぽくなってきました。結構寒いです。今、平均が１２〜１５℃くらいで最低気温が７℃くらいかな。紅葉もいつの間にかしてたという感じ。京都では紅葉スポットが沢山あって紅葉シーズン到来って感じだからもっと紅葉に敏感だったけど、ここではなんとなく過ぎ去ってしまいそうになります。

上は私たちのアパートの玄関から。

Autumn comes around here, I think. Seattle is cooler than Kyoto in October. The average temperature 50F here recently. (I knew, it's snow in Idaho at the same time!)

大学近くはUniversity Districtと呼ばれていてかわいいお店や安くて美味しいお店が沢山並んでいます。この日はぶり豚の学部？？のパーティがあったので私たちも付いていきました。

プリンセスゆきね Princess Yukine

女の子は大好きですね〜特にアメリカの女の子はディズニーのプリンセスが本当に大好き！喜音の年はすべての女の子が自分をプリンセスと本気で思ってます。日本はここまでプリンセス！！！！じゃなかった気がする。なぜ？？

とりあえずもうすぐハロウィンもあって、今はみんななんの格好をするかが話題。
喜音は。。。ぜったいプリンセスっていうやろな。。。

写真撮れ！とプリンセスからの御命令でしたので撮らさせていただきました。はい。

バレリーナゆきね Ballet dancer Yukine

幼稚園のお友達がバレエ教室に通ってるので、喜音も体験レッスンを受けさせてもらえることに！
何かやらせたいなとは考えていたので嬉しい限り！服、バレエシューズも貸してもらいました＾＾喜音は大喜び！

Yukine's preschool friend goes to Ballet class, so the mom took us to the trial lesson!! I'm thinking about something class for yukine if we can take her, so I was sooo glad it!

練習風景。窓ごしじゃないと見れないし、写真撮っていいのかわかんなかったから、隠し撮りだけど＾＾：すごく喜音は楽しんでて、ちゃんと先生の言うこともそれなりに聞いてて、もう習い事のできるお年頃になったんだなと実感！
家で私といるとすごく甘えん坊だし、話は途中まで聞かないし、こいつ、ほんまにまだまだ習い事ってレベルちゃうなって思ってたけど、やっぱり親じゃないとちゃんとするもんよね！
本人もとっても楽しんでたしなにかさせてあげられたらいいな。。。お金かせがな！！

Yukine enjoyed it soooo much, she did very well! When she is at home, she can't listen to us, and she gets bored with everything so fast, so I thought that it's too early for her to take something lesson though, she was really good!, and she was soooo cute :D

I wanna her to do something really !!! at first, money...hummm....

歯医者 Dental clinic

聞いてはいたけど、アメリカの歯医者、高いっす。（涙）
京都を引っ越す前に見つかった、私の虫歯。
だいぶ奥までいってるやつだけど（といっても、3ヶ月検診に毎回行ってて、
そこはすごく小さい穴だったから歯医者が大したことないってずっとほっとかれたのよ！）
もう時間もないってことで応急処置だけでアメリカに来た。
ずっと痛くないし、大丈夫かな？って思っていたけど、アイダホで突然激痛。
急いで歯医者に行くとやっぱりすごくひどくなっているってことで、神経を抜くことに。
こっちでは「Root Canal」という処置をするのが一番ということだったんだけど、
ブリ豚の大学の保険がまだ使えなかったので全部で500ドル以上（5万5千くらい）。

だから、とりあえず神経だけ抜いて、シアトルに引っ越して保険に入ってから
本格的に処置をしようということになった。

が、

ブリ豚の大学の保険は医療のほうはだいぶカバーしてくれるんだけど、
歯科はほとんど補填なし！！！結局私のこの「Root Canal」という大手術は
まったくカバーできなくて全て実費！
（4人家族で月７００ドル（7万くらい）も払ってるのに！！！！）
シアトルだからか、（都会だから）その歯医者が有名だからか、知らんけど、
アイダホで言われてより高くて
1009ドルなり！つまり11万円くらい！？！？(涙）


はぁ。。。。。

アメリカの歯科は、一般的に日本よりも10年進んでるとは言われてる。
（アメリカの歯医者への待遇が日本よりもいいためと、歯科教育が進んでいるらしい。）
だから、行ったとこの歯医者では、日本でやった処置が気に入らないと
あれこれ手直しされた。それも高くなった原因らしい。
プラス、日本のように銀歯は使わず白い素材を使ったしそれも高くなった理由。
確かに、手早いし、まったく痛くないし、
これからどんなことをして、どうなって、どうするとかしつこいくらいに
説明してくれて、とってもきれいになった。

でもでも。。。。高いよ。(涙）

この結果、ブリ豚は自分のパソコンを買うのを保留することにしました。＾＾：

ごめん、私の歯のせいで！？


I have a big problem in my tooth, so I went to the dentist.
My tooth needs "Root canal" and I did it, but it was soooooo expensive, you know x(
Unfortunately, Brit's university's insurance doesn't cover the cost of dental stuff so much, so we have to pay everything by ourselves. ummmmm... :(

It's painful for our wallet tho, I'm happy to clean my terrible tooth. In general, It's said that American dental medicine is ahead of Japanese one. I agree with it. Japan has a national insurance. It is really good for citizen, but that's why Japanese doctors's payments are lower than Americans, and it's easier to be a dentist in Japan. Anyway, my tooth is fine now, but Brit decided to wait for buying his own PC for a while :p Sorry about my bad teeth.

Gas works park

先週末にレンタカーを借りたので（週末のプランは安くて一日１０００円ちょっと。それに税金、保険で一日２５００〜３０００くらいになるけど、買うとしたらまだ、まだ安い！）
Gas Works Park（ガス工場公園）に行ってきました。見ての通り、昔はガス工場だったみたい。で、使わなくなってずっとシアトルの人がどうしよっか？ってそのままにしてて、結局そのままガス工場を残して公園を作ることになったそうな。
その当時は、こんな不細工なもんを残すなんてって結構批判だらけだったけど、今となれば、シアトルの人たちから愛されている公園なんです。

. We can rent a car costs about 10bucks ,without tax, insurance though, a day during weekend, it's sooo cheap!, so when we need a car, we rent a car sometime. We think that we won't have own car as long as we can. Anyway, so we went to the Gas works park last weekend.

こんな感じで登ったりしてもOK。
なんかここでいかに綺麗に飛び越えるかみたいな不思議なスポーツが成り立ってて、沢山の男の人たちが一生懸命練習してた。すごく変な光景。＾＾：

Some places, you can touch, and climb on down, so monkey Yukine was excited a lots!
Lots of weird guys competed to how much beautifully they can jump through these stuffs....It was really strange.. They may believe their sports would be one of Olympic events! haha!
